Nice thread. Here is what I have. It was never intended to grow like that. For some reason I kept buying. I still haven't used even 5% of all functionality. Can you believe I don't have a rack for all this yet?.

1x 3620
2x 3640
1x 2611XM
1x 2650
1x 2514
1x 2950 switch
1x 3550 L3 switch
2x 2924-XL-EN switch
1x ASA 5505
1x Pix 501
1x Cisco 1240AG Acess Point
1x Cisco AiroNet 802.11a/b/g wireless adapter
(Coming soon) 1x Cisco WLC2006 Wireless Lan Controller

Modules Installed: 2x NM-2E2W, 3x NM-2FE-2W, 2x NM-1FE-2W, 2x WIC-2T, 5x WIC-1T, 1x NM-4T, 2x NM-1CE1B

One note here for all, about the 2600 series, they are very good but many of the models don't support the NM-2E2W or NM-2FE2W modules!! :(. I just knew this yesterday. I like the 3640 and 3620.

@ Regeth -

When people walk into my room, that's the first thing they say ..."wow you got a data center here" or "you got a little command center here". Love when they say that

I must admit, those are some nice additions to your lab. That is so awesome, your client just gives you old equipment. They don't even know the value of it, and how easy it would be to sell it on ebay.

@ S0lo -

You have quite a nice lab yourself. I am amazed you don't have a rack for all that too. I know the buying feeling, you buy one piece and you continue to buy. You want to add more and more to your lab, until you realize ...wow I have quite a bit of equipment. But its truly never enough.
I'm starting to feel left out, everybody has a L3 switch except me. I better get on that and get me one or two.

Labs are looking good gentleman. Very nice! very nice!

Cheers mates,

If anybody thinks there lab is to big or that you have to much equipment, or maybe somebody recently told you that you were crazy for having all that gear. The following link should definitely reassure you, you don't and your not crazy.

Zippy that isn't a lab, that is his own central office. I don't know if you noiced the OC-3 and OC-12 modules!!! I love the line "Equipment is great in the winter to heat your house!"

If anyone lives close to Philadelphia, PA. I have a 5513 loaded with two sups, and ten 24port 10/100 blades. It's just sitting in my garage pretending to be a paperweight! I’ll be happy to give it to a lab in need. It was another acquired pieces from the same client. I told the off site engineer that I found it under a desk. His response was “You found what? No really you found what? Please don’t send it back to us and get rid of it!”…

That is correct, it actually started out as his CCIE R&S lab which later became his consulting equipment. It has really grown to be not only a lab, but a consulting business. Hence the wide range of vendors and equipment.

I read his entire life story from the start, I will need to find it and post it. It really is quite interesting.
