cant install updates!!

yep..its genuine xp..couldn't rename the edb.log(it said another process was using it!!)..and dwyane's suggestion failed also :!:

Does the account has permissions to rename the file?

Start-->Run-->cmd: ren %systemroot%\system32\catroot2\Edb.log Edb.old
