cant install updates!!

any of you gents know of a good reason why I cant install my automatic updates....any suggestions would be appreciated..cheers

Do you have further information like any error messages ? Please describe exactly what is happening.

yeh..thanks mate,all the error codes(8)are 0x80070643..cheers,the installations just fail after considerable effort on the pc's behalf.

Have you got a firewall or anti-virus package running that is stopping the downloads? The other thing to check is your "tool bar" on your browser to see if your browser is blocking the download. I think from memory it is activex or some other such program that does this.

If not, check your security settings on your browser.

and last of all,

If you are using windows, is it a registered copy
