wireless starting from scratch

i forgot the most important thing, when we were connected ,the uostairs computer was loading ie pages fine.
but the downstairs computer which is a pukka recently formatted 2.8 gig job service pack 2, wouldnt

yes it works fine with the bt modem

so your home is fin with the Bt modem ,in your Belkyn routers GUI page check the encapsulation type and if its is PPPoA change that type to PPPoE,try it

im going to have another go today and will try your suggestion,
spotted something else- wireless card set must be set to ssid and name belkin54g- i can do this in windows wireless network i think.
