i can't buy another ethernet router since its expensive for me... how about using a hub instead would it be of any help?

I configured before an Ethernet/Internet LAN using a hub and the ISP provided the LAN address and DNS which makes it more easier compared to what I have right now, my ISP is using DHCP

Hi

A broadband router would cost you close to $40. Well since you are not ready to even buy a Broadband router, let me give u another work around

First PC
NIC 1 : Obtain IP Automatically (from ISP)
NIC 2 : Static IP (192.168.1.1)

Second PC
NIC 1 : Static IP (192.1681.2) and Default Gateway set to 192.168.1.1 for File Sharing between the PCs

Solution
~~~~~
1. Download a Proxy Server from www.download.com or any other website.
2. Install the Proxy Server on the 1st PC
3. Conigure the secon PC's IE to the Proxy server Ip & port you have configured.
But remember, For applications like Yahoo Messenger or others, you have to configure each with the proxy server setting.
Thanks
