can anyone show me how to do a peer-to-peer network with internet connection?

OS: Windows XP
Internet Provider: DSL using DHCP

here's what I already done doing:
1. I placed 2 NIC's on one PC, for my DSL port and LAN port.
2. I run the network wizard for WIN XP, indicate username and password for dial-up DSL.
3. 2 PC's were connected through Cross-over cable.
4. Run the network wizard on the other terminal.

PC (server) has 2 NIC's
NIC 1: is obtained thru DHCP of my DSL connection
NIC 2: I used C Class address 192.168.1.1

PC (client)
NIC : I used C-class 192.168.1.2

The problem is, there's no internet connection being shared for the Client PC but the LAN is functioning, since I can do file and print sharing..

Pls HELP!!! :D

default gateway... my DSL connection uses DHCP thats why I had 2 NIC's. The other NIC Obtains IP address from the ISP Server

my internet gateway would be my PC Server

PC Server 2nd NIC is 192.168.1.1
so the PC Client default gateway is 192.168.1.1

The first configution I made was PC Client has 'Obtain IP Address'.
The internet and LAN is working but then, 2 days later, my NIC stopped functioning, so I tried putting it in another PCI slot and it worked! The problem is, I have no internet connection and there is an ICON being shown of my Default gateway as connected.

My PC Client has LAN but no internet

Just a note of warning, if you bridge the NICs on the 1st PC, it's firewall will not longer protect the second PC, so you will need to ensure that the second PC has a firewall in place.

I think your best bet is to get an ethernet broadband router.
