Virus Outbreak ???? was created by Nitix
hi guys ..
is there a virus outbreak ??
my pcs are broadcasting on and are bringing down my nettwork.
also a when i join certain pcs on the LAN they timeout my cisco gateway ( ADSL)
is there any quick solution ??

Not to my knowledge there isn't anything major. Have you scanned the affected systems with an up to date virus scanner.

does that have anithing to do with spybot???
if its not a virus outbreak .... then what might bring down a cisco adsl modem in 3 seconds ??
as soon as i plug in the lan cable the gateway is timed out !!

Spybot as in the anti-spyware program ? I doubt it..
How many systems appear to be generating traffic..
You can save this traffic and analyse it.

Go to an affected machine and review the connections its making using TCPview..

You havent looped back a network cable anywhere have u on the network? This is just a thought as looped cables can cause broadcasts unless spanning tree is enabled on your switches.
