hi folks

i am having a problem connecting to my wireless network
i have a pc that i installed my netgear wireless router on. my pc has no wireless on it so i connect to the net on this by using the wire.
i bought a laptop and tried to set up wireless on my router so that i can go on net with my laptop wirelessly (it won't work)

i took the laptop to friends house and browsed for his wireless network, found it and connected to the net no problem.
with my network it says i am connected but when i try and browse i cannot. it says limited or no connectivity.
surely it can't be laptop settings as friends network is easy to browse the net.

cheers.
any help will be appreciated

Have you browsed your Netgear web interface configuration? What shows in the configs?

Bring up a Command Prompt box on your wire-connected PC (start -> run -> cmd). Type in ipconfig /all and find out what the default gateway address is. Now open your web browser and try to access http://<that address>. That will probably give you the configuration page of your Netgear

Strange, I'm also not sure why it shows a PPP WAN adapter here. I'm beginning to have other doubts. On the same (start -> run -> cmd) type:

[code:1]
ping 192.168.0.1
[/code:1]

What does it show you ?
