Cisco 2600 as Internet Gateway

I have a Netgear router i am presently using for internet access but i cant do specific permissions.

I now have 2600 and i want to replace the Netgear.

My config is to use Fa0/0 for Inbound to traffic from the internet and Fa0/1 to the Lan. but the problem is that i have done everything and there is internet in the router but none in the lan.

Can u help please?

By Netgear router, do you mean an ADSL router? If so, this is really a digital modem with a switch attached to it so you can connect a number of hosts to it. A Cisco router is different.

Why not have your internet connection via the Netgear "router" and connect it to the Cisco router then you could configure your interfaces, routing protocol and security as you require?

The Netgear is a Wireles Router (Not ADSL).

A cable comes from the switch of the ISP and to the WAN port of the Netgear and then anoter cable from the one of the four Lan port on the Netgear to the Lan Switch.

Ah - that's interesting. Can you give the model number of the Netgear router please?

The netgear router is a 108 Wireless Firewall Router WGT624 V3.

I just looked at the spec. It seems that the physical interfaces are:

Internet/WAN: 10/100 Mbps (auto-sensing) Ethernet, RJ-45

and

LAN: 4 ports 10/100 Mbps (auto-sensing) Ethernet, RJ-45

I suspect that the first connection is the incoming one from the switch of the ISP so I think it would be possible to connect this to an ethernet interface of the Cisco 2600 and have it route traffic to one of it's other ethernet interfaces. You'd need to configure the routing protocol, passwords, ACLs and other security that you need.
