belkin again

i have found the tcp/ ip properties box there is also an auto set option as well.
but will that affect my existing bt voyager/aol settings?
i need to keep that online for the time being.

still not connecting to belkin im using 1E.
all lights on apart from the one far right which flickers occasionally then goes out

only bt modem appearing in settings nothing for the belkin..

dougal, I'm having hard time following you here. Where you able to get to the belkin's web interface?

no i am still not able to open the belkin page in internet explorer
i have reformatted and reinstalled windows xp and all the computer drivers in case i had uninstalled the ethernet card at some time, but still wont connect to belkin.
did a cmd check worked once but didnt mean much to me, tried again later it said it couldnt find media

the only light that dosent come on on the router has a small globe.
i have a spare computer so i am setting it up on that so i can retain my existing connection on my main computer

im a bit annoyed that i have a son who sets up networks for a
living but is unable to help
in the meantime any suggestions welcome

during the last five minutes i set up the other computer, guess what ,opened the belkin page immediately!!!!!
