Interesting ... I love finding out about the origins of words in the English language, either Latin or Greek:

Noun: forum
1. A public meeting or assembly for open discussion
2. A public facility to meet for open discussion
3. A place of assembly for the people in ancient Greece

Noun: agora
1. The marketplace in ancient Greece
2. A place of assembly for the people in ancient Greece

The information provided by the firewall.cx forums are endless. We have just started teaching foreign languages! :D
Another one but well known is that most -phobia (eg arachnophobia) words are greek

What then would be an appropriate forum to post question with respect to programming? Let us know.

I want you to rethink about the programming forum. I'm talking about a forum for network programming. Not general programming.....

Best practices, safe programming ( avoid buffer overruns, blocking/non blocking sockets etc ) in various languanges ( C/C++, Delphi, Object Pascal, Visual Basic, .Net, Mono, Assembly .... )

It'll be fun ... ( i think ... )

Its not my cup of tea but if there is enough interested and enough posts generated from that then i don't see why it cannot be discussed.

Maybe start a poll to see what the community thinks ?
