what is your suggested software to detect infected pc on the network? if the number of infected pc is to high, let say 50pc's; do we have other method to clean the virus?

Have u done a windows update on all infected computers? This will remove any blaster type viruses exploiting the O/S.
You also need antivirus software my friend!

i cannot update the windows patches and antivirus software..maybe the virus block the program or something else..i not sure about it.. but i cannot run antivirus update and windows patches...do u think i should format the pc?

--Did you identify the infected PC's? If not, Search for msblast.exe file in %WinDir%\system32. If it exists, you know that PC is infected or else you can check the Registry Key
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run for
"windows auto update"="msblast.exe"
There are Windows Update CD's availabe if you don't have access to Internet as a result of your virus.
Once you know what machines are infected, you can run the virus removal tool from Symantec.

Make sure you read and understand all the information.

if you have identified the infected PCs try to isolate them from the network. next download patches and antivirus updates and burn them on a CD. afterwhich you could apply the patches and updates using the CD thus, eliminating your option of going to the net and downloading these pathces and updates via the internet thru the infected machines as sometimes msblast denies you of the internet service especially when patching and updating.
