Arani,

Wow - there's always something new to experience no matter how many times you've worked with Cisco routers :)

I'll keep this tip in mind !

Hi all
I am unable to configure my cisco 2501 router to act as a dhcp server. I have tried very flavour of dhcp commands but it just doesn't budge. Keeps on saying incorrect command.
Eliminated typo as an issue.

Any leads?

Hi solo,
Seen and been through, that's where I started. I failed to enable dhcp on the 2501 router, so I have used a 2612 router to do the same. But the original problem still remains.
No dhcp using 2501

Could you post the console output of the commands that you where entering and the error generated?

Hi all,
Resolved issue with not being able to enable DHCP on this 2501 router. The IOS was so old it didn't support half the stuff I needed. Anyway, a quick upgrade of the IOS, and and I'm laughing away, looking at my laptop picking up a dynamic IP address dished out my the 2501 router.
Thanks guys
