telneting

i created an account named test on both computers and added them to the telnetclient group. infact I added everyone to the telnetclient group but couldnot telnet

Two ways to solve this:

1. Since you are just experimenting, you can instead just add them to the Administrators group on both computers.

2. If you prefer to not add them to the local admins group, make sure that the TelnetClients group that you created is spelled exactly as specified -- TelnetClients -- as per this article: technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc737709(WS.10).aspx

If you were to go with the second route, you'd create the TelnetClients group on both computers (or just the Telnet server) and add the test user account to it, then STOP and START the Telnet service on the both computers (or just the Telnet server) and then retry, but the easiest way is to add them to the local admins groups.
