Also, if you want to do File & Print Sharing to the Head Office, i think the VPN solution may prove problematic due to latency issues over DSL and the like.
Like jwj (and sose) said, the best thing is to discuss this requirement with several telco's who can all advise you on different solutions, then based on the information given you can then decide which route to take.
The telco's will be very happy to discuss this with you as it may be a sale for them

For this project , you should consider the budget first. If your concern is big , you can purchase MPLS-VPN solution from telco's.
It will give more security,reliability. If your budget is low and Less number of users in each branch, you can go for remote access vpn solution.
