This concept is pretty much new as well as complicated too.
I don't think this concept is new, I have been using similar configuration on hp server for a few years now, I suppose that other vendors had it in their systems before that also.
But of course you see more and more similar configurations in business in more recent years because people have a laptop with wireless internet connection and a cable at the same time and effectively it's the same thing.
