Security in Windows 2003 was created by yogi1025
I am a Network Administrator, I manage multiple servers and one of them being File Server in which the OS is Windows 2003 Server. I wanted to assign a security to a particular folder in the pattern as under:
User must be able to Create Files in the Folder,
User must be able to Rename Files in the Folder,
User must be able to Move Files to and from the Folder,
User must be able to Modify and Save Files in the Folder
BUT USER MUST NOT BE ABLE TO DELETE ANY FILE OR FOLDER
Please comment on the above issue[/list]

Select the folder and bring up the Security tab under the Properties Dialog. Click on the Advanced Button, and then choose the "Effective Permissions" TAB which contains a list of all the permissions you mentioned in your post. Simply choose the ones you want and apply.
