I have no idea what i saw yesterday, hah. but i thought the date was for a year ago.
ill blame it on my "euphoric" childhood endeavors

You don't actually need to move the whole Documents and Settings folder to transfer your outlook express mail. As nske and Berzerker have said you simply need to copy files from the C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\<GUID>\Microsoft\Outlook Express folder where <GUID> is a string of the form {8E7285A1-EABF-477D-AF37-416DBC6064AD}.
You then need to locate the corresponding folder on the new computer. Obviously <GUID> will be different as will <username> if you have a different user name.
Note that this will only copy your mailboxes and not your address book or outlook express account settings. The address book is usually stores in "C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Microsoft\Address Book\*.wab"
The outlook express account settings have to be exported from within outlook express to a *.iaf file. This can then be imported into outlook express on the new machine.
This definitely works. I have done it many times.
