IPC$ gets removed automitcally was created by gainil
Hi Guys !!
I have a very strange problem -
I have Windows 2K Advanced Server with ADS. The server is working fine, but in between if any user tries to logon, he receives "User Name/Password Incorrect" though the Username/Password is correct. I found out that the IPC$ share gets removed (This also disables all the shares on the server). On the server i did "Net Share IPC$" the problem was solved, but occurs again after some time. So I have to do "Net Share IPC$" again and again after some time. Can any one help me ????
Thanks and Regards
Nilesh

Have you checked the value of the registry's RestrictAnonymous key?

The RestrictAnonymous Registry key can be found in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\LSA. If it is set to 2, that might explain why you're having problems. Try setting the value to 1. I wouldn't recommend setting it to 0.
