I've got 2 questions to ask.
1.Is it possible to setup an internal mail server which will be used to send mail to all emmployees in our domain. Why I'm asking is because there is a lot on mail that is being sent within the company and our isp says our internet line is slow because there is too much mail being sent. What i'm thinking of is to have a system where all the mail will be filtered and if the email address is not from our domain it will send it to the internet and it is in the same domain it will just send it via the lan and hence to use the internet and eventually free up some band width.

2.We connect to the internet via a proxy server which is also hosted at our isp. We've got a 128k line which is being shared bamongest +-40 users for email and browsing. What I'm thinking of doing is to get a 512 adsl line and connectin it to our server and have to nic (ie.1 that we currently have which connects to the isp and one that will come in straight (adsl line)which could be used in conjunction with the other one and hence having a much faster internet connectivity.

Looking at a windows based system since I do not know much about Linux

Can these two sinarios work and if they can what would be the besy ways to go about deploying them.

Microsoft Exchange Server will do what you want quite easily, but I guess it depends on your budget.

For the second scenario, you will need a router
