how to close SMB port 445

Hello everybody,
How do i close the SMB port 445 in windows, once i read somewhere but forgot the URL. Could somebody give brushup to mah mind about this closing port 445. I would appreciate ur kind help, plz reply with solution ASAP.

Other than blocking it with a firewall you can edit the registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\NetBT\Parameters
and delete the value for TransportBindName
