Hi there,

I just join this forum and found it very usefull, I am Farrukh from Pakistan.

I am using P-IV (Intel 865GBF, Motherboard) (2.4 Ghz Pentium Processor) with 512 DDR ram, (128mb Ati Radeon Graphic card), (Skystar2 Dvb Card). And also a 128k CIR Link through satellite.

As i mentioned that i am using satellite internet but for sending the request i have to do this from local isp  , now everything is ok but from few days i am suffring with DC from isp and exactly after 30 minuter i god Dc ( i have US Robotics External Modem), I confirmed from my isp and they said that the problem is not on their end it is on my end. And they are right, because i face this problem three months ago, then i format my harddrive and installed the fresh copy of windows xp.

Now at this time i don't want to format my system ps tell me what is the problem and what is the solution of this, I also us Adaware 6 for spam cleaning.

I hope to hear from your guys soon as possible.

regards,

farrukh shabbir

hi Farrukh

welcome to the site.

you havent' mentioned if you have updated and patch your system via microsoft windows update. also make sure both your Anti virus software and adaware programs are up to date and with the latest definitions. i'm assuming that it might be a virus/adware that may be causing your being disconnected from the net.

first of all you could try to check what services are running by using your task manager and look for suspicious applications running in your background. check for their validity.

you could try and search for the processes that are running in your system thru google to check if they are legitimate or not. (just a suggestion  )

hope this helps..
