I would like to know where the offline folders on Win XP resides, and if it's saved local or on the nework. Thanks

Your files will be stored on the local machine. This way you can use them even when you are not attached to the network. They can be set up to synchronize automatically when the connection is reestablished.
Your offline files will be stored in the offline files directory.
