While I've never attempted such a task, I'm sure its somewhat possible.
What O/S is the current dhcp server ?

Patrick,
what your trying to achive is certainly possible. I've search around abit and found quite a few good notes on how to do it.
My best suggestion is to visit microsoft's site on the following url: www.microsoft.com/windows2000/en/server/...lusteringSupport.htm
and follow the links from there.
In short, because the DHCP server that comes with windows 2000 supports clustering, you wont have any problems implementing it. The database of IP addresses leased or reserved is shared amongst the two or more dhcp servers and that way when one dhcp server fails, the other one automatically takes over transparently without anyone noticing it !
Let us know what your findings and results are!
