I need to prevent users from changing their IPs was created by Nitix
Can anybody help me on this one ???...
I need to prevent users from changing their IPs (which are manually assigned) on windows platform ??
The users have administrative rights on their respective systems.
Is there any means to prevent the users from changing their IP addresses ??

Nitix –
Make sure you’re logged in as local admin on the box.
Follow These Steps:
• Go to START / RUN then type in “gpedit.msc “(without the quotation marks).
• Go to USER CONFIGURATION
• Then NETWOK
• Then NETWORK CONNECTIONS
On the right side you’ll see a list of options that should fix your dilemma.
Remember what you changed in case you goof and need to revert.
Good Luck,

Jack is right. However, if the users have local admin rights, they can change the group policy on the local machine the same way you did. If the machines are part of a domain, it is best to make this a domain policy. That way, the domain policy overrides the local policy, in case they figure out how to change it in group policy.
