I am having problems with telnet.
I run a web server iis 5.1 on a windows xp machine. Anonymous access which works ok
If I try and telnet from another windows XP machine the telnet prompt just sits there stating it is trying to connect.
telnet SomeName 80
I tried to connect on Windows 2000 and everything connects ok and I can run some commands.
Are there any problems with Xp's telent client?
thanks

Nope there are no problems with windows xp's telnet client..
You could run a sniffer and see whats coming back, or wait for some sort of timeout error message. Have you tried using another client ? I would recommend PuTTY.
It may be something to do with your authentication setup -- is it NTLM, or password based ?
Cheers,
