Windows 7 wont boot was created by bigdp
Hi
i am having a problem with my laptop. Its a Packard Bell easynote ts13hr with windows 7.
it wont boot up and i get a boot/bcd error.
i cant get it working at all and wen i got into the recovery manager the option to restore it was greyed out. Any help would be appreciated

Hi there,
Try the following and see if it makes any difference:
Put the Windows Vista installation disc in the disc drive, and then start the computer.
Press a key when you are prompted.
Select a language, a time, a currency, and a keyboard or another input method, and then click Next.
Click Repair your computer.
Click the operating system that you want to repair, and then click Next.
In the System Recovery Options dialog box, click Startup Repair.
Restart the computer.
Try the following and see if it makes any difference:

If the repair that Arani suggested doesn't work, you'll have to reformat the computer. Not all is lost, though. You can put the hard drive in an enclosure kit and take the data that you deem necessary off the hard drive and store it else where. If you need help with that, let us know.
