PASTE Doesn't Work Anymore in Internet Explorer

Hello,

Today, I noticed that the 'Paste' function doesn't work in Internet Explorer (IE 6.0) anymore!

When I'm working on some file on my PC (Notepad, Word, etc...) all cut, copy, and paste work just fine.

However, when I'm online using Internet Explorer, I can copy and cut but I can't paste!

When I right-click in a text box, I can cut and copy, but Paste doesn't work! Even clicking CTRL+V doesn't work either!

This seems to affect Internet Explorer only. When I'm browsing using Crazy Browser, it works just fine.

I did go to 'Internet Options' >> 'Advanced' and "restored default", but that didn't work either. I also downloaded IE 6.0 SP1 from Microsoft website and installed it. The problem is still there!

Does anyone have any idea what could be the problem?

Thanks for any help.

Scorpio

PS: My OS is Windows XP.

I agree.

I use IE 6.0 and paste all the time.
I use IE 6.0 and paste all the time.
I use IE 6.0 and paste all the time.
I use IE 6.0 and paste all the time.
I use IE 6.0 and paste all the time.

See.

Thanks,

Well I can certainly confirm that Tom's 'Cut-Paste' function works correctly!

Scorpio, this might be a long shot, but have you tried scanning your system for any virus? If not, then download an antivirus program with the latest definitions and scan your system.

And while you're at that, I'd highly suggest you also download the 'Stinger' program which is only 750kb at the moment and supports most of the worlds popular virus/trojans. You can grab a copy at vil.nai.com/vil/stinger

There isn't much more I can think of at the moment, but if I do, I'll let you know.

Cheers,
