Have a laptop that had a corrupted windows installation. Formatted it with Ubuntu and it ran great so I tried to format ubuntu and put win XP back on it ( yeah i know kinda redundant..) the customer wanted windows. Windows installer kept saying cannot find harddrive. So i even used the GLIVE to format into NTFS file system for windows but still to no avail. although Ubuntu everytime i place it in the drive picks up the hard drive with no issues.. Any suggestions?

Hi,
If you have a caddy in which you can fit the Laptop HDD, take the HDD out, put it on the caddy and format it using another computer into the NTFS file system. Then put it back on and try installing the Windows XP OS.

Cheers
