sharing folder or filez

when i trying sharing folder in LAN ... using different windows OS .. win Xp and Win 7 ... sharing done but giving me the option as |Enter user name and Password | i done that but this option appeared again when hit enter... (user name and password given were correct )

( any1 will give please some detailz about sharing folder/s IN LAN as what meant by Poweruser and it is must the others would be members of poweruser for sharing puprose?) :arrow:

Pretty typical. Oah the joys of peer to peer. Couple of things. To make this easier on your self make a single username/password that you put on ALL machines that you want to share something. They have to be spelled the same on all machines as well as the password.

Chances are in your example it might work when you try to access the share when you type the computer your trying to get to as well.

So username and password prompt

(computer name)\(username with rights made on THAT machine)
so Example... kewlfiles\frankrizzo then password iLoveCheese
