Active Directory Sytem State Backup Error

Active Directory Sytem State Backup Error was created by majidxlnt
Hi,
Iam trying to take a system state backup of AD on windows 2003 Enterprise server 64 bit.
Dell Power edge 1855 Blade Server
I first tried tried to backup from the original hard drive--no go.
I Mirrored the hard disk and tried to backup from the mirrored one still its giving an error
It is giving the following error message

Make sure the "Volume Shadow Copy" service is set to "Manual". Hopefully its only that.

I updated the firmware for the scsi drives from the manufacturers website and checked for drivers update.What else can i do for a backup.I had the drive on RAID 1 but when i tried to backup from the mirrored one still the same issue.

You never mentioned if you checked the VSS service so I'm going to assume to did.
Maybe try and update VSS. This is the service responsible for backing up files even if they are in use which seems to be your problem.
