552 4.3.1 Message size exceeds fixed maximum message size

Hello,

I am facing a problem in my exchange server 2003 the error is "552 4.3.1 Message size exceeds fixed maximum message size",please advice me how to resolve this issue.

In system Manager under Global Settings\Message Delivery\Defaults, see if there is a limit there. You've got a maximum limit size configured that is causing your problem.

Message Delivery ->
->sending Message-> no limit
->Receiving Message ->no limit
->Recipient ->Max.5000

Did you try to send the same email internally to a different user?
May be the recepient message size limit is not set to the message size that is defined in your exchange
