cant start my print spooler!

can anyone out there give me some help..cant print in "vista"after installing new printer,error message saying "print spooler has stopped"tried starting it in "command" mode..error 5,tried other ways to be told that services it depends on are marked for deletion!..does anyone have any ideas...please.

What other ways did you try to start it?

We had a similar case with a client, try the following and let us know if it helps:


1. Go to Programs and Features in Control panel > click Turn Windows features on or off

2. click '+' sign of Print services

3. Select LPD and LPR. You should remove Internet Printing Client. > restart your PC to ensure there is no error of spooler service.

4. Add your printer driver again.

well I did exactly what you said but after minutes it came up with "error..not all of the features were successfully changed" (none in fact!)..so I'll have to re=install windows...I really appreciate your thoughts on this Chris and KILLaBeE...ps what you got against bees? :lol:
