Hi Friends,
Any one of you aware of any nice software (corporate class) which can perform "server health check" on windows machines on various parameters, and predict and suggest for performance improvements, tuning, tweaking etc?
Let me clarify, I am not looking for products like HP OpenView which monitors realtime statistics.
I am looking for software's like SHC professional from HP/Compaq, Patrol Predict from BMC, which I can run once in a while (say per month) and it gives me some nice statistics, performance bottleneck issues etc etc.
Please give me some nice options to choose from.
Thanks & Regards
Cheetah

The answer is simple.
Perfmon.exe that comes with Win2k(p/s/e). You can dump to file or what it live and then you can suggest improvements based upon server/workstation load.
Personal experience will teach you how to identify critical areas. Daily checks on systems will give you the immediate information, weekly logs illustrate the overall life performance of the machine.
Save your money, learn how to read your logs. Maybe you want MS MOM?
