User Accounts in XP was created by UncleJ
I just completed re-installing XP Pro. It asked me for the users name that will be used on this computer, but never asked for a password. Now when the logon screen appeasr with the user accounts it is asking for a password. How do I reset the pass word without actually being logged in?????
Please HEEELLLPPP!!!!!!!!!!

There is a fairly generic rule that any software authentication mechanism can be bypassed by someone with physical access to the system.
This is a requirement rather than a fault. They need to have a fallback for people to recover their systems from a forgotten password. They assume that someone who is physically at a console is trusted.
Thus you can even reload a cisco router to bypass the startup-config and bypass the password.
Its a feature

Yeah I like that feature of Cisco routers, just incase you forget thats why they demand that all wiring closet should be restricted for physical access *duh*
