Exchange question was created by big_g
Hi All,

I have a question regarding exchange im about to rip out an old exchange server 5.5 set up as follows:

We have external facing mail servers which route mail to internal AV scanning machines which then forward the mail to the servers hosting relevant domains - the exchange server i would like to get rid of in terms of our exchange organization has the lowest address space cost value so basically does the routing, now this server also still holds mail boxes - am I right in thinking all I need to do is migrate the mailboxes to the other 2003 exchange servers information store and change the config for address space values for exchange and bingo we are good to go? i know I will also have to change the AV server to send mail to the 2003 servers as opposed to the 5.5 box

Am I missing anything else here?

Thanks for any responses.

Sorry forgot to say that the other exchange servers (2003) already have smtp connectors which point to the AV servers on the way out, one of which is a bridgehead server :-)
