printer connection error.

Im getting the message
''Operation could not be completed. Either the Printer name was typed incorrectly, or the specified printer has lost connection to the server".
Im trying to connect to a network printer installed in a printserver running windows 2003 server.Other machines in the domain are able to connect to the server.
The firewall in the xp machine is turned off.
someone help...

browse to print server in run box, e.g.

\\printserver

then double click printer

installed?

have u checked: Workgroup, well lets not rull out viruses and spywares. use SPYBOT S&D to scan the system. reboot after new settings have been implemented...
