Windows 2000 Pro

Any info on bios settings to boot windows? Right now I'm on my laptop trying to find out info on my desk top,it say's cant load windows missing or corrupt file? I tried the windows 2000 pro cd,cant get it to read it! PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

Find the "Boot Sequence" or "Boot Order"entry in BIOS and change the order so that your CD reads before your Hard Disk.

Most bios you can press delete and it will take u to the bios settings. you can also do this to check what button takes you to ur bios. when the system start telling you how much memory u have and how many HDD you have etc. that big black screen that u get when u turn on your sistem hit the pause/break key it will pause the system and give u a chance to see what key takes you to your bios setting and there you can change the sequence in which your pc loads. it should be set to CD than hard drive and floppy if any.
