VISTA REJECTING SOME INSTALLATIONS

I am a cisco instructor in an IT training innstitute, my students often complain that they cannot install C compiler and IIS in their vista home edition we have not tried it on business edition. anyway out

what is the difference : premium edition ,home and business edition

Which C Compiler are you using ? Do they not have the option to install IIS ? In Vista Buisiness its under the "Turn Windows Features on or off" and it says Internet Information Services.

I am dev c++
no IIS option in home edition
In th e business edition the IIS option is there but the option
ASP version I.I is missen


another issue is that the laptops we bought newly with default vista edition dont multiboot with xp even after a clean format the vista installation is always over riding the xp installation

do something pls

It would probably be best to setup Virtual Server or VMWare as a thought ?
