Ghosting xp os onto C:, to save all the messing about !!

Can anybody point me to a good laymens descriptive on how to ghost my C drive onto another HD, too enable me to just have to re-install the OS on to C:, saving all my docs & important stuff elsewhere, running XP pro, dual boot with vista ultimate?

Which program are you using, Norton's Ghost? Or, do you need us to suggest one? Also, do you have more than one partition on your C: drive?

not using anything at the moment, skepticals, i have 4 partitions, 3 used 4th free 156 Gb, looking for decent way to save time & create good back up system etc, as would class me as intermediate (but not thick), not expert, hence laymens terms !! :roll:
