hi my people its been quite sometime..

A laptop for one of my customers had issues so wen i asked him he told me that it takes time b4 it shuts down. (i.e. wen u click on the shutdown button the system just freezes and shows the hour glass).. he uses a toshiba l30 (psl30) lappie.

I then checked the system and realized wen u click on the turn off it does not go off... it just hangs there and shows the hour glass. so a friend told me to check the system restore and turn it off.. that which i did and all became well.. then few minutes after it started acting the same way... hmmmmmm i was kinda puzzled.. could it be the lappie does not like my hands..

I then decided to reinstall winxp sp2. but same thing. then i reinstalled again using fat 32. at first i did it with ntfs.

and after i formated it still same issue.

Note:
I did not connect it to the net or put in any flash or external device.

Please guys wat could be the problem. its acting weird.

:x

I is highly likely u have a hardware problem

remove the harddisk of the laptop and try it in a similar laptop to rule out harddisk problem. try changing the ram and other component and reboot at each change. if all the conponents are alright then close your eyes and wish the price of a motherboard is not on the high side cause u need one.
