Cannot Start/Stop IMAP4 Services in exchange 2003

Hi Gurus,

i am now experiencing problem with my exchange server, this morning i found out that the imap4 service of exchange is not function, so what i did is to restart the service. now the problem is for 4hrs i restart the imap service until now the STATUS is still STARTING. please help me out on this problem.any suggestion to force stop it.?

Have you tried rebooting the server?

Yes, still no effect. i also tried to restore the system state, still no effect and add new problem, the Domain controller cannot contact by the client. any suggestion will greatly appreciated.

You have to be careful when restoring the System State on a Domain controller as you have to follow different procedures. This may be why you're now having problems with contacting the domain controller.
