Keyboard disabled during Windows Installation was created by Alans
Hi,
I want to install a Windows XP on a desktop PC, every thing seesm to be fine but when it reaches the screen when it asks following:
To install a new Windows press Enter
To repair current Windows press R....
when it reachs above screen the keyboard(USB) is disabled, i mean it will not work any more, all indicator lights on the keybord turning off, and i can't continue with the installation.
There is only USB ports so i can't connect a keyboard to PS/2 port.
any idea what may be the problem?

Check your BIOS, I think sometimes there are USB settings in there. Maybe you have to enable something.
