I am having data transfer problems was created by wheels
how can I access a password protected account from an old hard drive in windows xp so I can transfer my music to my new hard drive any help would be much appreciated

Do you mean the file system on the old drive is encrypted using the facility provided in XP?

If I use my old hard drive by itself all my music is there but when I boot off the new hard drive and try to access the music on the old one I cant . I am trying to run split drives

Try this,
Boot from your new hard drive, login as an Administrator, right click on the folder that contains your music and click "properties". Click the "Security" tab, Now add your user account to the list of users. Give your account full control. Now click on "Advanced" button, check the "Replace permission entries on all child object...." box. Click "OK" and "OK" again.
