Guys it looks like there is a problem with Vista asper connectivity to Wireless Hotspots / AP. I have a Mikrotik Radio (v2.9) mounted on an 80ft mast. We supply Wireless service to places far and near. when people come around with win vista laptops, they are able to connect but not able to browse.. under the network and sharing center it shows an X btw the network connected to and the Globe (signifying the internet).

When i check the status i see packets been received, but the laptop will not browse. i shut down all firewalls that might be hindering connections and i still get the same thing...

Guys wat do u think might be the problem. i am so concerned about this cos its not just one laptop.

And the surprising thing is that when u connect a laptop with winxp it connects immediately without trouble...

what could be the problem?

hey stephanie, thanks so much for thy concern, about the connectivity issue i realized that some do connect and others dont, experience series of this problem with win vista ultimate, for winvista bizness it does not have connectivity stress...

any way sha Bill gates is driving hardware companies to meet up or be left out...

wat ya think...
