Wireless LAN and LAN

Once you MANUALLY disable one of the connections (the way sose said), it will remain disabled even after you restart your PC. Besides, as quinnyyy mentioned, Windows (by default) uses only 1 connection to reach the internet (although the 2 connections are ON). Thats because Windows (professional or home edition) does not do load balancing.

So my question is, whether it is possible to automatically disable one network connection when the other one is alive.

by default your computer will detect a wireless network if it has a wireless adapter , likewise the cable connection. until otherwise you disable it manually. but give us a reason why you want a network to disabl e automatically when it detect another network. Is it inconveniecing your work? or making you less productive tell us ..
