THINKPAD problem

THINKPAD problem was created by bigdp
Whenever I start it up I get an internal modem error like this:

MWME0001: Modem Internal Error
Primary Code: 5(0x0005)
Secondary Code: 105(0x0069)
File: MWMWIN.C
Line: 4426


Then another error comes up after that, asking me to restart or shut down the modem.

When I hit restart modem nothing happens. If I hit shutdown modem, the dialog goes away, but then the modem doesn't work or anything. This happened after i upgraded from millenium to XP SP2.
i can go back and do a system restore and the modem then works for 5 mins then nothing again. I have reinstalled the modem but that didn't help.

PLEASE can anyone help.

Have you tried using the IBM software update to check for drivers. I would uninstall the modem from the device manager and reinstall it.

Otherwise, take the box to IBM. Their stuff never breaks though...
