A client brought a Window xp laptob to me . The laptop is usually used in a domain name finance, in this domain the laptop has no admin previledges or network configuration previledges. AT thelogon, there is the option to enter the local pcomputer but because the client cannot remmember the password we couldnt log in
in the domain FINANCE , I couldnt reboot with safe mode and I couldnt use the domain account to change the local computer password. Any idea

If you use an account in the Finance Domain that has Domain Admin Permissions then you should be ok to do everything on the laptop.
If this is not the case it will be because the Domain Admins group has been removed out of the Local Administrators group on the laptop (when you add a computer to the domain, this is one of the steps that is performed).
If all this fails then you have a choice of rebuilding or you could try a password recovery procedure on the laptop.
