how to restict copy in win 2000 server was created by vensvj
hi all
i have my client with win2000 server, he has a shared folder in server , that shared folder to be accsed from clint mechines, but the folder should't copy

Welcome to firewall.cx, vensvj.
If client machines have been granted even just read-only access to a folder, they will be able to copy the folder contents.

hi vens,
why dont you check the user's rights the reverse, check the the access rights of the folder where you want the files to copied, if the account you are using has a write+ priviledge to the target folder.
