Thanks DaLight, its very useful.
DaLight, We have SBS 2003 Premium edition with 10 Clients.
Server running with the follwoing services,
DNS
WINS
DHCP
ISSUE 1:
Please give me an idea regarding these,
1. In DHCP, should I have to enable the option "Enable DNS for Dynamic Updates".
2. Client machines are getting IP address from DHCP. in TCP/IP properties on Client machines which should I use either,
Enable NetBIOS over TCP/IP
or
Default
3. Some WorkGroup machines are getting their IP from DHCP.
4. How Name Resolution working (ie. order the SBS 2003 choosing for Name Resolution).
ISSUE 2:
One workgroup machine used DHCP, but the next day I have removed from DHCP and assigned static IP address.
Problem is,
Other machines in the network ping that workgroup machine with name, pinging trying to resolve with old IP address (from DHCP), but able to ping with IP address.
Within that machine, it resolves properly by name as well as by IP address.

Set to default and it will use the setting on your DHCP server which will then update for all the clients. NETBIOS is not crucial unless you have pre-2000 clients anyway.

Yes. Usually enabled by default, but not crucial for a small networks where DNS name/IP mappings don't change frequently.1. In DHCP, should I have to enable the option "Enable DNS for Dynamic Updates".

Use "ipconfig /registerdns" on the client with the changed IP to force an update. One workgroup machine used DHCP, but the next day I have removed from DHCP and assigned static IP address.

Thanks for your quick response DaLight.
Backup Procedure I understood, but I want to know
Logon as an administrator and shall I take backup?
Are I have to enable the object "BackupOperator" and backup using that login. Whatelse should I do before going to take Backup.
Don't mistake me, it might be a silly question, but if something goes wrong, then the total users are unable to work.
